The International Federation of Red Cross and
 Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) is the world’s largest humanitarian network, with 190 National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and around 17 million volunteers. The IFRC supports coordination of the global Red Cross and Red Crescent network before, during and after disasters and health emergencies to meet the needs and improve the lives of vulnerable people. Together, they reach more than 160 million people with life-saving and life-changing support annually.


Lack of engagement with readers.

Annual reports are rarely read cover to cover and people increasingly demand their information in bite-sized chunks. To take its annual report digital for the first time, the IFRC approached Yump to create a mobile-friendly, engaging and measurable communication tool which is accessible anywhere anytime.


Impact storytelling and animation.

Drawing on narrative themes, Yump helped the IFRC craft a storyboard that would engage the reader through an interactive experience highlighting the work and the impact of the IFRC. We brought serious topics such as Migration and Epidemics to life, showing the difference they make in people’s life everyday.

Yump helped the IFRC tell the story of their impact via a beautifully storyboarded and animated digital annual report. The interactive website was launched to great acclaim and received extremely positive feedback from their stakeholders, supporters and donors worldwide.
