The Centre for Evidence and Implementation (CEI) is a newly formed division of Save the Children Australia and their central mission is to improve the lives of children facing adversity through better use of evidence in programs and policy. CEI partners with research organisations, service providers, local, state and federal government and other intermediary organisations wanting to improve human services designed to support children and families.

Challenge

Establish CEI's service offerings.


CEI engaged Yump to create a communication strategy that would help them establish quickly as an innovative and trusted organisation for collaboration in its various service offerings (training and support, knowledge synthesis and translation, practice design and evaluation). As a new entity, it is critical that key audiences connect with the CEI brand, can easily understand the work of CEI and identify how it is relevant to their organisation.

Branding, website & email communication strategy.


Starting with a strategic workshop, the Yump team helped CEI identify clear organisation goals, key messaging and their unique value proposition. We then developed a modern and clean visual identity that represents implementation in human services as a multidisciplinary and cross-sector activity, portraying CEI as the bridge between science, practice and policy-making. The mobile-optimised website was delivered in multiple phases with a robust Content Management System built for scalable growth, and launched by the Head of CEI Robyn Mildon PhD with a targeted email campaign strategy.

The CEI website was launched in June 2016. Benchmarked against other Scientific Research sites in Australia the CEI site has (in the first month since launch) 118% higher pages per session, 140% higher average session duration and a 46% lower bounce rate. Their new brand identity, mobile-friendly website and email communication strategy have enabled CEI to reach out to the global evidence-based implementation network, expand their influence and attract more quality projects.
