Scope Australia

Scope Australia is a not-for-profit disability services provider delivering meaningful opportunities and support for people with complex intellectual and physical disabilities. With the recent acquisition of another disability service provider, multiple websites needed to be combined under one new master brand and a more sophisticated, multifunction website was created.

Challenge

A fragmented digital presence that was stifling growth

Scope faced a series of challenges with their existing digital presence that were amplified by the acquisition of another disability service provider in NSW. They had outgrown their existing website backend and needed a more scalable and flexible platform with an infrastructure that could support the growing needs of the organisation.

On the frontend, the website lacked mobile optimisation, and shortcomings in the accessibility features were hindering their ability to engage their target audience.

Solution

Enabling future scalability and integrations

A thorough discovery process laid the foundation for design, an iterative process involving reviews from both stakeholders and people living with MS. We had 7 participants testing the revamped service finder and property finder, which are key features driving business outcomes.

We recommended Craft CMS, a flexible, easy-to-use, friendly environment for administrators and developers that enables future scalability and integrations. Our response delivered a user-centric, highly visual, functional and accessible website. The solution supports Scope’s goal to support thousands of people with complex intellectual, physical and multiple disabilities.

Outcomes

Shaping the future of disability services and supports

By unifying Scope, Home@Scope, and Disability Services Australia into one master brand, Scope's brand awareness and reach increased, with site visits from NSW up by 80%, indicating a successful integration of the new provider’s audience.

The consolidation and streamlining of Scope’s online presence has helped establish the organisation as a leader in the industry with a fully accessible and contemporary website. Simple navigation helps users efficiently search for services based on their needs and location. Site admins are empowered through an intuitive CMS, that enables easy content editing and ensures the website stays fresh and up-to-date.

The unified master brand and website continue to shape Scope's mission to create meaningful opportunities for people with disabilities to belong and thrive.
